Yes, I want to help out!

Upcoming Events: We need YOU!!

We are looking for volunteers to help us plan the following events:

  • Broadway Loves MSC: Our signature event, Broadway stars light up our stage in a celebration of musical theater. (This may be a virtual or hybrid event.)
  • Relatives and Special Friends Day: Family members near and far are invited to spend the morning virtually visiting our school and experiencing what makes MSC so special.
  • Spring Fun Run: Getting ready to run, walk, or roll your way to 333 miles in this fun, community-building event.

Please email volunteer@friendsofmsc.org to get involved - YOU are the heart of MSC!

Family Giving

Dear Friends of MSC,

We’re on the way to reaching our Family Giving goals. If you have yet to donate, please give what you can. If you’ve contributed already, here are four ways to expand your impact:

  • Does your workplace match charitable giving? We want every corporate match dollar that is available through our families. If you need help completing your company match forms, you may email cotreasurer@friendsofmsc.org.

  • Have you considered extended family giving? Send extended family members to this page, where they can make donations of any size on behalf of our kids.

  • If your treasure is tapped, you can still give time by volunteering in support of our school. Follow this link to find all the ways to get involved or propose something new.

  • Remember that we’re participating in a vaccine fundraiser. When community members request an appointment through the NYC Appointment Scheduler, they should list Friends of the Manhattan School for Children, Inc. as the organization that referred them. We earn $100 for every first shot, and the person getting vaxed receives $100 too.

Your gifts, and these additional steps, keep us connected and learning. Indeed, you are the heart of MSC.

Togetherhood Afterschool Survey

As many of you know, Togetherhood started a custom afterschool enrichment program for PS 333 this past September. Children and parents have been very happy with Togetherhood and we are excited to grow their lineup for 2022! Please click here to complete a quick survey by 11am this Friday, 10/29. With your input Togetherhood can best serve our needs and interests. Thank you!

Inclusiveness and Diversity Committee

Thanks to everyone who attended the last Inclusiveness and Diversity Committee meeting.  What a great exchange of ideas, highlighting concerns and discussing possible solutions.  We welcome all members of the MSC community to join us.  Voice your opinion.  Contribute your ideas.  Be part of the solution.  We need your invaluable presence!  The next virtual meeting will be on November 11th at 5:30 PM.  Questions/concerns?  Email us at msc333.diversity@gmail.com

Yes! I will attend on Nov 11

Ongoing: Candy Wrapper Recycling

Have candy wrappers in October/November? You can recycle them! Shakira signed us up for a candy wrapper recycling program, just in case anyone was planning on letting their kids eat some candy. Find out which day your child has Greenhouse Science, and put EMPTY wrappers in a sealed baggie (that can get recycled, too!)

Program is available until mid November.
