Supply Room is Open!

Our new supply room is open! Our funds have gone a long way to stock the new room with all the basic essential supplies our teachers use every day - and now the teachers have access to this room whenever they need it. Thank you to all our parent volunteers who helped clean up and organize our new supply room.

Lost and Found Reminder

Is your child missing a coat? A water bottle? A lunchbox? There are bags and bags of these items and more in the Lost and Found! Items are available for pick up in the auditorium on Fridays at dismissal - please come by and take a look.

Anything NOT claimed will be donated at the end of the month.

After School Virtual Reading Buddy Program

We are excited to share that, this year, the 8th Grade Legacy Project will be participating in the After School Virtual Reading Buddies Program developed by 2020 MSC alumnus, Benjamin Epstein.

Elementary families who are interested in having their student(s) paired with an After School Virtual Reading Buddy should email copres@friendsofmsc.org by January 17.

Please include:

  • The name of the elementary school student
  • The grade of the elementary school student
  • The name(s) and email address(es) of the elementary school student's parent(s)

All efforts will be made to accommodate everyone but we cannot guarantee that everyone will be paired.

Inclusiveness and Diversity Committee

MSC Read-A-Thon Update

Exciting news families! In just 3 days we surpassed our first week goal of 10,000 minutes read, 250 readers enrolled and $10,000 raised! Let’s keep up the momentum!

Help us meet our overall Read-A-Thon goal by:

  1. Register your reader if you haven’t done so already - https://www.read-a-thon.com/readers/r/fEMxDq
  2. Log your reader’s minutes into their dashboard
  3. Ask friends and family to show support for your reader with a donation to support MSC!
  4. Ask your employer to provide matching of your donation.

We look forward to meeting our goals and celebrating in school on Friday, January 21, 2022 when all students can dress as a their favorite book character.

Contact wendycohen@aol.com or amandadelbene@gmail.com for any questions.
