Dear Parents,

We are gearing up for another exciting school year and I wanted to send out a note to those who may be interested in Mohr’s Explorers as an after-school option this fall.  We offer our program to girls and boys at Manhattan School for Children, from kindergarten through 4th grade, on Thursdays and Fridays.  We will pick up your children from the school at the end of the school day and take them to Central Park, where the program takes place.

For those who are not familiar with Mohr’s Explorers, we are an outdoor adventure program and we have been running this group through your school since 2010, though we have had various groups of kids from MSC as far back as 2006.  If anyone would like to hear from other MSC parents who have had kids in our program in the past, please let me know.  For all of the details and information you will need in order to sign up for this fall, please click here:  MSC Flyer

THURSDAYS September 15 through December 15 (off on 11/24); total of 13 sessions.

FRIDAYS:  September 16 through December 16 (off on 11/11 & 11/25); total of 12 sessions.

Our weekly Central Park EDventures will include elements of fort building, back-country survival and wilderness hide-and-seek – plus an original variety of awesome games and activities!  This exhilarating outdoor program builds confidence, while encouraging teamwork, creativity and open-ended education.

The possibilities?  Endless.  The experiences?  Memorable.  The FUN?  Guaranteed!!!

We will be outdoors; please be prepared for all types of weather and visit www.mohrs-explorers.com for further information.  NOTE:  We still have space in both groups.  If you are interested, please submit a Registration Form as soon as possible in order to start this week.

If you are holding off on after-school activities this fall, no worries — there will be separate registration opportunities for the winter and spring sessions.  However, these groups sometimes fill up fast.  Though the school was kind enough to send this out to let you know about the program, this may not happen prior to every season.  The only way to be notified when registration opens each season is to be on our e-mail list.  We don’t flood you with e-mails — there are probably 5-7 per school year — so if you would like to consider the program later this school year or in future years, please either just let me know directly or you can sign up for the e-mail list on your own here:  Mohr’s Explorers e-mail List

Last, if you have any questions about our after-school program, there is much more information on our website, but please do not hesitate to contact me about anything.

I hope you had a great summer and I look forward to hearing from you and seeing you and your Explorers throughout the fall and beyond — thanks!

Yours truly,

Mike Mohr

Owner, Mohr’s Explorers

Our kids’ programs focus on neurodevelopment through having fun, developing methods of approach, and articulating strategies for problem solving through the interactive processes of socialization! Kids learn how to think ‘moves ahead,’ anticipate an opponent’s reaction, and develop good sportsmanship through cooperative and competitive play with board games, trading card games, and role playing games.

Roads to Success operates a 10-month long after-school program that helps young people gain the skills to be positive members of their communities and identify future potential pathways.

Our FFA Soccer Schools have been the hallmark of our approach, allowing all players under the guidance of our French & US Soccer Federation qualified coaches to spend 60 to 90 minutes classes and experiment the French player development methodology, DNA of our program. Children will be picked up by our coach at MSC at 2.30pm. The session will end at 4.00pm with pick up at the Great Hill in Central Park.
