Inclusive Playground At Joan of Arc Complex

For over 25 years, MSC has set the gold standard for inclusive education in New York City Public Schools, both inside the school building and in the classroom. Now, we are excited to build an inclusive playground to extend inclusive play outdoors.

  • Our goal is to build an inclusive playground that serves as a beacon of light in our community and sets a new standard for inclusivity.

  • Outdoor learning and indoor learning should complement each other and work together to nurture the whole child.

  • We are an inclusive school, but to be fully inclusive, we need an inclusive playground.

  • Contact: playground@friendsofmsc.org to learn more.

Inclusive Playground Updates

Thanks to the leadership and support of Council Member Shaun Abreu, MSC received an investment of $6.4M to build an inclusive playground! We are beyond grateful that our vision of inclusive play and learning for all MSC students are one step closer to reality.

A special thank you goes out to Council Member Gale Brewer for always supporting PS 333 MSC!

"It is with gratitude and humility that we acknowledge that we are learning, speaking, and gathering on the ancestral homelands of the Lenape (Lenapehoking) who were violently displaced as a result of European settler colonialism over the course of 400 years. The Lenape are a diasporic people that remain closely connected with this land and are its rightful stewards. We pay honor and respect to their ancestors past and present as we commit to building a more inclusive and equitable space for all.”
