Program Description:

Registration for our spring session is open!  We offer our program to girls and boys at Manhattan School for Children, from kindergarten through 4th grade, on Thursdays and Fridays.  We will pick up your children from MSC at the end of the school day and take them to Central Park, where the program takes place.

For those who are not familiar with Mohr’s Explorers, we are an outdoor adventure program and we have been running this group through your school since 2010, though we have had various groups of kids from MSC as far back as 2006.  If anyone would like to hear from other MSC parents who have had kids in our program in the past, please let me know.

For all of the details and information you will need in order to sign up for this spring, please click here:  MSC Spring Flyer

MOHR’S EXPLORERS, SPRING 2023

FRIDAYS:  April 28 through June 23 (off on 6/9); total of 8 sessions.

Gear up for weekly Central Park  EDventures, including shelter building, bird tracking and fun-filled woodlands quests – plus an original variety of awesome games & activities!

This exhilarating outdoor program builds confidence, while encouraging teamwork, creativity and open-ended education.

  The possibilities?  Endless.

The experiences?  Memorable.

The FUN?  Guaranteed!!!

We will be outdoors; please be prepared for all types of weather and visit www.mohrs-explorers.com for further information.

Registration is now open and being handled on a first-come, first-served basis.  The cost is $450 for Thursdays and $400 for Fridays.  To pre-register, all you have to do is e-mail me and include your child’s full nameagegradeteacher(s) name(s) and preferred day to reserve his or her spot on the list.

Though the school was kind enough to send this out to let you know about the program, this may not happen prior to every season.  The best way to be notified when registration opens each season is to be on our e-mail list.  We don’t flood you with e-mails — there are probably 5-7 per school year — so if this spring doesn’t work, but you would like to consider the program in future years, please sign up for the e-mail list here:  Mohr’s Explorers e-mail List

We will also be offering a 4-hour Mini-Camp during the upcoming Spring Break (April 10-14) and then one of my favorite parts of the program and one of the most fun things that we do, our 15th Summer EDventure Camp, will be running from June 19-July 14, 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day (you do not have to sign up for all 4 weeks; we always have MSC kids joining once school is out).  You can even do a Mohr’s Explorers Birthday Party too!  If you are interested, the underlined links above will take you to our website for more details and complete registration instructions.

Last, if you have any questions at all, there is much more information on our website, but please do not hesitate to contact me about anything.  I look forward to hearing from you and seeing you and your Explorers throughout the spring and beyond — thanks!

Yours truly,

Mike Mohr
